Introduction
Maryland Public Television, commonly known as MPT, is a public television network that broadcasts throughout the entire state of Maryland and the District of Columbia and into parts of Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia. MPT is Maryland's only statewide broadcaster. Main Purpose of Job
The Development Giving Manager will develop and execute strategies to grow MPT’s mid-level giving program, focusing on engaging donors contributing $500–$1,200 annually. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Leadership Giving, this position will enhance donor relationships, support pipeline development, and increase revenue to support MPT’s mission. This position involves mid-level donor communication planning and development of fundraising strategies to attract and increase mid-level donor contributions to MPT.
POSITION DUTIES
Manage a portfolio of mid-level donors to identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward supporters. -Build relationships with station members, identify and track donor interests, and form connections leading to meaningful support for MPT. -Implement custom communication, engagement, and stewardship strategies that retain mid- level members and upgrade members from mid-level to major gifts. -Serve as point of contact for new mid-level members and create positive experiences for donors moving from membership, to mid-level, to major gifts. -Participate in the planning and execution of fundraising activities and events such as station tours, community outreach, and donor visits. -Work in fundraising database to record, track, and analyze data to inform and prioritize fundraising activities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor’s Degree Experience: Minimum two years of experience in non-profit development. Note: 1. Candidates may substitute 30 college credit hours from an accredited college or university for each year up to two years of the required experience�

Experience with prospect management and research tools and methods Discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information Thorough knowledge of Google Workspace applications and donor management database�systems A self-starting work style, experience using data and best practices to drive decision making, and�comfort in an atmosphere of continuous change and improvement Must be highly organized to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities simultaneously, with�the flexibility to address unexpected requests Excellent verbal and written communications skills, analytical ability and attention to detail Superior interpersonal skills, including being an enthusiastic team player and active listener who�works well with a wide range of internal and external constituents Experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce, Raiser’s Edge, or other donor management�systems to track and analyze donor data.
