This position is responsible for receiving payments from customers who visit the CCU Glen Burnie Satellite Office.
This is a Special Appointment position, and serves at the pleasure of the Appointing Authority.

Main Purpose of Job
This position is responsible for receiving payments from customers who visit the CCU Glen Burnie Satellite Office.
POSITION DUTIES
Responsible for receiving and applying payments from walk-in customers who visit the CCU Glen Burnie office using the automated Revenue Collection System (RCS) and automated collection system (RPCS).
Responsible for providing hand-written receipts to customers when necessary.
Responsible for balancing the cash drawer, preparing daily deposits and the deposit bag for verification by the Office Supervisor. These duties shall be performed in accordance with the established office policies and procedures.
Responsible for maintaining accurate timesheets (in Workday) and updating the timesheets on a daily basis. Responsible for adhering to all leave and call-in procedures. Maintains a regular and reliable rate of attendance. Performs all duties as assigned including, special projects.
Responsible for receiving and applying payments received by mail using the automated Revenue Collection System (RCS) and automated collection system (RPCS), when applicable.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Each candidate must have:
Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certification.
Experience: Two years of experience reviewing, verifying, recording, adjusting and balancing financial transactions.
Notes:
1. Experience calculating and recording financial, statistical or other numerical data may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the high school education.
2. Six credit hours in accounting from an accredited college or university may be substituted for one year of the required experience.
3. A minimum of five courses or six months of accounting-related training in a vocational training program in subjects such as journalizing transactions, analyzing transactions into debits and credits, posting to a general ledger, payroll, bank reconciliations, accounts payable, and accounts receivable may be substituted for one year of the required experience.
4. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience in Financial Clerical/Finance Technicians classifications or specialty codes in the financial field of work at a rate of one year of military experience for the required experience.
Notes:
1. Candidates may substitute experience as defined above for the required education at the rate of one year of experience for 30 credit hours, for up to 60 credit hours of required education.
2. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a non- commissioned officer involving staff work requiring regular use of independent judgment and analysis in applying and interpreting rules and regulations in accordance with agency laws and policies on a year-for-year basis for the required education.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
One year of experience in customer service.
One year of cash handling experience.
