POSITION DUTIES

Join the Comptroller’s Office in the heart of downtown Annapolis, where cobblestone streets, waterfront views, and a vibrant community sets the stage for unique opportunities. The Director of the Office of State Financial Innovation (OSFI) is looking to fulfill the role of Executive Administrator (Administrator I) who is detail-oriented, adaptable, and skilled in optimizing administrative processes. Primarily supporting the Director of this organization, this position will also support the Deputy Director, Chief Performance Officer, and Senior Portfolio Manager in their leadership roles. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth operation of OSFI by providing executive support, management office administration, and coordinating statewide interagency activities. The Executive Administrator will oversee daily office functions, facilitate communication between agencies, and assist in the development and implementation of time management strategies within the office. Additionally, this role will handle personnel administration, including processing performance reviews, employee contracts, onboarding, and other HR related tasks, ensuring compliance with the agency’s policies and procedures. The ideal Executive Administrator will have strong communication, organizational, and process management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently. Experience in executive administration, particularly in a government or interagency setting is preferred.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.

Experience: Four years of administrative staff or professional work.

NOTES:

  • Candidates may substitute 30 college credit hours from an accredited college or university for each year up to four years of the required experience.
  • Candidates may substitute the possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university for the required experience.
  • Candidates may substitute the possession of a Master's degree from an accredited college or university for the required experience.
  • Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer involving staff work related to the administration of rules, regulations, policy, procedures and processes, or overseeing or coordinating unit operations or functioning as a staff assistant to a higher ranking commissioned officer on a year-for- year basis for the required experience.

** For education obtained outside of the U.S., you will be required to provide proof of the equivalent American education as determined by a foreign credential evaluation service. DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous government experience working as an Executive Administrator for a director level position.
