POSITION DUTIES
- Provides project support for kinship practices across the state. This position involves attending meetings with community partners and private service providers to discuss kinship legislation, regulations, and policy. This role provides technical help to the LDSS.
- Provides project support for resource homes around the state. Participate in meetings with LDSS, community partners, and legal partners to solve problems, advocate for change, and address resource parent needs in Maryland.
- Provides technical assistance, training, consultation, guidance, and support to LDSS staff, Core Service Agencies (CSA), Juvenile Services (DJS), Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE), University of Maryland School of Social Work, families, and federal partners. Assists with funding allocation, outcome monitoring, resource gap development, and policy development and implementation. This is accomplished through site visits, phone calls, emails, virtual meetings, and training sessions.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience: Five years of experience in the administration of a human services program or experience conducting studies and analyses of programs, procedures, practices and organizations.

1. Candidates may substitute additional professional or technical experience in the administration of a human services program or experience conducting studies and analyses of programs, procedures, practices and organizations on a year-for-year basis for the required education.
2. Candidates may substitute graduate level education at an accredited college or university in a human services related field at the rate of 30 credit hours per year for up to two years of the required experience.
