Main Purpose of Job
The Visual Communications Designer will play an integral role in the development of engaging and straightforward content that streamlines and visually conveys the work of the Maryland Department of Aging (MDOA) and the Longevity Ready Maryland plan. Collaborating with cross-departmental teams, the Visual Communications Designer will build a framework and execute the creation of content to simplify its messages across multiple channels including digital, traditional (e.g. print), social, display, and event-related materials. This position synthesizes aesthetics, story, and brand while ensuring alignment and cohesion across the work and mission of MDOA, the Administration, and other state agency partners.
POSITION DUTIES
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education : Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
Experience : Six years of administrative staff or professional work.

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS
Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the State of Maryland.
