What are the responsibilities and job description for the Departmental Analyst (Trainee) 9-P11 (Store Control Analyst) - Finance position at State of Michigan?
This position serves as the Michigan Department of Transportation’s (MDOT) liaison for the Statewide Materials Inventory program and its operation within the Statewide Integrated Governmental Management Application (SIGMA) Inventory Module. MDOT’s materials inventory is owned by the department and housed in Store Facilities throughout the state. State Store inventory values run between $6-$15 million and are housed in over 90 facilities including contracted County Road Commission facilities. This position is responsible for the financial integrity of records as materials are received, disbursed, and transferred between locations and the integrity of the value of inventory on hand at each location. This position is responsible for how the activity is processed into SIGMA Inventory Module and interacts with additional modules with SIGMA Financial. This position is also responsible for pulling data from Business Intelligence to assist department staff with needed reports to track their inventory. This responsibility is inclusive of training, trouble shooting, problem resolution, data correction, and development and distribution of reports for users and financial analysis. This position works closing with the Accounting Services Division to provide a balanced value of state store assets for the general ledger accounts at year end for financial reporting purposes.
The "Salary" listed above is a range that reflects the minimum rate at the entry(9)level through the maximum rate at the experienced(P11)level. Based on education and experience, candidates will be reviewed to determine what level they are qualified for.

Education
Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school.
Experience
Four years of experience as an advanced 9-level worker in an ECP Group One classification.
OR
Three years of experience as an E9, E10, or E11-level worker in an ECP Group One classification.
OR
Two years of experience as an experienced level worker in an ECP Group One technician or paraprofessional classification.
OR
Two years of experience as a first-line supervisor in an ECP Group Three classification.
OR
One year of experience as a second-line supervisor in an ECP Group Three classification.
*Paraprofessional classifications are those requiring an associate's degree or two years of college.
Educational Substitution
College credits may be substituted on a proportional basis (one year of college education may substitute for one quarter of the required experience) for up to one half of the required experience.

Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school and the equivalent of at least two years of full-time active-duty experience at or above the E-6 level in the uniformed services may be substituted for the education requirement.
