The Department of Technology, Management and Budget supports the business operations of state agencies through a variety of services, including building management and maintenance, information technology, centralized contracting and procurement, budget and financial management, space planning and leasing, construction management, motor vehicle fleet operations, and oversight of the state retirement systems.
About this position:
This position functions as a first-line manager in a complex work area for the Department of Technology, Management, and Budget (DTMB), Agency Services (AS) supporting the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT).
Under the direction of the Business Relationship Manager and State Administrative Manager, the Quality Assurance, Content & Security Manager is responsible for managing day-to-day functions and activities in the Quality Assurance Analyst, Content Analyst, and Security Analyst work areas. This position is responsible for establishing priorities, allocating staff to projects, employee evaluations, establishing employee training plans, analyzing resource capacity versus demand, and the assignment/prioritization of employee work loads. This position will also be responsible for establishing and overseeing all Quality Assurance Analyst, Content Analyst, and Security Analyst activities including processes, policies, and tools for automated test development.
Responsibilities also include serving as the technical escalation point for ongoing projects, participating in project status meetings, reviewing project documentation, reporting progress of ongoing projects and system support to management, and facilitating conversations with DTMB, MDOT, and vendor personnel related to the status of ongoing projects and initiatives.

Position Location:This position is located in Lansing, MI. This position may work a hybrid (remote/office) schedule with 2 days required in the office per week. Selected candidates who have been approved to work a hybrid schedule must complete that work within Michigan. Candidates should confirm work location and schedule at the time of interview.
Signing Bonus:
Possession of a bachelor's degree with not less than 21 semester (32 term) credits in one or a combination of the following: computer science, data processing, computer information systems, data communications, networking, systems analysis, computer programming, information assurance, IT project management or mathematics.
Experience
Three years of professional experience equivalent to an Information Technology Infrastructure, Programmer/Analyst or IT Project Coordinator P11 or one year equivalent to an Information Technology Infrastructure, Programmer/Analyst or IT Project Coordinator 12.Three years of experience as a computer programming supervisor or Information Technology
