The Department of Technology, Management and Budget supports the business operations of state agencies through a variety of services, including building management and maintenance, information technology, centralized contracting and procurement, budget and financial management, space planning and leasing, construction management, motor vehicle fleet operations, and oversight of the state retirement systems.
About This Position:
This position serves as the Systems Integrator Specialist and sole resource for design and networking of the central
Michigan Building Intelligence Systems (MiBIS) server to the building controller. This position works to operate, install,
maintain and repair a complex electronic building automation and energy control system by writing and using computer
programming sequences. This position is responsible for the oversight and administration of the integration and
consolidation of multiple systems into the Michigan Building Intelligence Systems (MiBIS) platform and to provide 24/7
remote operational control of building heating, cooling, lighting, and other systems. These systems include Honeywell,
Johnson Controls, Trane, Siemens, and Tridium Vykon. This position will be responsible for the review and oversight of the
control systems ensuring they are in proper working order, calibrated, adjusted and reporting to Central Control. This
includes manipulation of point settings through the computer interface, either directly or remotely. As the Systems
Integrator Specialist, this position utilizes the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to maintain
awareness of work order distribution and performance. This position verifies alarm specifications are followed, programmed
correctly and the priority sequences are followed. Establishes and enforces metric reporting, pulling reports from the MiBIS
system and analyzing if alarms are correctable with a goal of zero reported nuisance alarms. This position will maintain the
MiBIS server including software and revision updates and perform data analysis to identify anomalies or data errors from a
list of points from a building BAS System. This position will be responsible for IT related construction projects that involve
the BAS system or BAS specific projects as well as all IT audits of the system including user access, KeyLight, and all
security requirements. As Systems Integrator Specialist, this position will be responsible for BAS program testing and
inspection for deficiencies effecting the customer and monitoring energy management and consumption for savings and
efficiency development.

Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major.
Experience
Four years of professional experience, including two years equivalent to the experienced (P11) level or one year equivalent to the advanced (12) level.
Additional Requirements And Information
Special Requirements, Licenses, and Certifications
Equivalent combinations of nonprofessional experience, identified by the appointing authority and approved by Civil Service that are represented by subclass codes, will be accepted for classified, professional experience equivalent to the P11-level and above. The nonprofessional experience must be related to departmental programs and services that provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Certain positions may be assigned subclass codes and individuals appointed must possess the required specialized experience.
