At HSEM, we help Minnesotans prepare for, respond to, and recover from emergencies and disasters. As the LMS Administrator, you'll be working alongside a robust training team to aid in delivering comprehensive training programs and courses to field personnel that may consist of a diverse population of first responders, law enforcement officers, and / or emergency management personnel throughout the State of Minnesota.
This position exists to coordinate, manage / administer, market, and implement the State of Minnesota Homeland Security and Emergency Management Training Program’s learning management system. This position also assists with the coordination of trainings and exercises hosted and supported by HSEM’s Training Team and aids in the design, development, and evaluation of training courses conducted by HSEM or its approved instructors from the Instructor Cadre.
The incumbent provides guidance to HSEM training team and subject matter experts and assists in policy interpretation and analysis. The incumbent is responsible for delivering certificates offered by HSEM, as applicable. The incumbent also serves as a point of contact for all trainings and will be a backup SAA / TPOC for federal consortium training partners.
- This position will have the option of teleworking; however, it will be based on the business needs of the unit and is at supervisory discretion.

Minimum Qualifications
Minimum of two (2) years of professional level experience, a bachelor's degree in Experiential Education or Emergency Management may substitute for one year of professional level experience.

Physical Requirements
Light : Requires occasionally moving and transporting such articles as file boxes and heavy hand tools or heavier materials with help from others, and moving and transporting objects frequently. Even through the weights being moved and transported may be a negligible amount, a job in this category may require positioning self to move to a significant degree or may involve maintaining a stationary position for extended periods.
