Job Summary
This position is eligible to telework up to two (2) days per week.
This position will plan, coordinate, support, and ensure the delivery of professional law enforcement / criminal justice focused training, certificate programs, and special training events (conferences, summits, and meetings) that advance the statewide training missing of the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension. This position will be the point of contact for contracts and financial tasks for the Training Unit. This position recommends, creates course content, coordinates, and facilitates the delivery of BCA law enforcement / criminal justice training classes and conferences on behalf of BCA throughout Minnesota.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Two (2) years of administrative support or technical experience.
- A bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, law enforcement, public safety or related field from an accredited school may substitute for one (1) year of experience.
Experience must include the following :
Preferred Qualifications
1. College undergraduate degree with a emphasis in criminal justice, law enforcement, public safety or related field.
2. Prior experience in coordinating professional training events to include planning the event, identifying and negotiating with training instructors, developing and working within an event budget, and resolving unanticipated problems in an appropriate manner.
3. Prior experience in coordinating and administrating training courses.
4. A basic knowledge of utilizing both virtual and on-line training platforms such as Webex.
Physical Requirements
Requires occasionally moving and transporting such articles as file folders and small tools. May need to maintain a stationary position for long periods of time while carrying out job duties.
