What you’ll do:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Serves as a receptionist/information clerk within a Missouri Job Center; determines purpose of contact, provides general information and assists in preparation of forms; directs individuals to proper destination; receives and distributes messages; and schedules and/or arranges appointments
- Manages customer traffic flow, proactively coordinates with state and partner staff within the Job Center, checks identification of individuals entering the Job Center
- Pre-screens Job Center customers to ensure questions asked are answered and customers are directed to the correct staff member for appropriate services
- Assist with employer outreach calls as needed
- Conducts regular rounds throughout the Job Center; assists with various Job Center staff and customer inquiries/needs
- Assists customers with faxing, copying and scanning paperwork as needed
- Maintains order and proper behavior of individuals and groups on Job Center property
- Assists in the Resource Room, as needed
- Performs other related work as assigned
- Demonstrates regular and reliable attendance
Minimum Qualifications
- One or more years of work experience; and, possession of a high school diploma or proof of high school equivalency.
- (30 earned credit hours from an accredited college or university may substitute for the stated experience.)
- (Training from an accredited technical or military school may substitute at a rate of 30 earned credit hours, or 480 hours, for the stated experience.)
