Tax Season Assistant (Evenings) – Processing Tax (Temporary)

HOW THIS POSITION SUPPORTS THE DEPARTMENT’S VISION:
This evening position works with a team focused on processing income tax returns and documents in a timely manner. We are team-oriented, goal driven, and value strong communication and data-entry skills. An experienced problem-solver with good attendance habits and attention to detail will do well in this position. You will gain satisfaction from assisting Missouri’s taxpayers. DUTIES PERFORMED TO SUPPORT THE DEPARTMENT’S VISION:
- Assist within the Processing Bureau to ensure accurate and efficient processing of income tax returns and payments.
- Data entry tasks to input tax return figures and taxpayer information, meeting or exceeding the hourly keying standards.
- Correspond with both internal and external customers about tax processing.
- Enjoy opportunities to learn a variety of tax types and transition to other areas where temporary assistance is needed within the department.
