DUTIES:
- Supervise and evaluate the attainment of team members work goals and to

- Confers with and counsels team members to exchange information and/or
related problems and formulate possible solutions.
- Reviews and compares work performance of team members with

- Evaluates specific charges and facts and recommends appropriate
discipline incarcerated individuals for noncompliance with established
policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Writes progress reports and release plan proposals to make

- Observe incarcerated individuals in the housing unit area to detect

environment and to develop a constructive rapport with them.
- Research incarcerated individuals' backgrounds to establish a treatment file
- Coordinates incarcerated individual’s treatment plans to ensure timely
and diagnostic assessment including self-betterment, chemical
dependency, mental health, medical, academic and vocational, or special
referrals.
- Counsel incarcerated individuals, including crisis intervention, to assist
grievances; and planning for treatment changes, furloughs, and parole.
- Directs compliance with all policies, procedures, post orders, State statutes,

Requirements / Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, behavioral sciences, human services or related field OR Associate’s degree in criminal justice, behavioral sciences, human services or related field plus two years of corrections experience; OR four years of corrections experience. Must be at least 18 years of age. No felony or domestic abuse related convictions.
Other: Candidates will be required to successfully complete CBI facilitator training and instruct CBI, Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT), and Thinking for a Change (T4C) programs. Must have a valid driver's license. Transcripts required prior to appointment. Applicants accepting a job offer must pass the following pre-employment exams in this order: medical exam and, at a randomly announced time, pass a drug test. Once at the Staff Training Academy, must successfully complete the fully paid NE Corrections Training Program.
