Job Description:
The DHHS Department of Children and Family Services is seeking an individual with a passion for "helping people live better lives" to join their team as a DHHS Foster Care Resource Developer (FCRD) Licensing Worker! This position is essential because the FCRD Licensing Workers specialize in reviewing and managing foster parent licenses in the State of Nebraska.

As a FCRD Licensing Worker, you will:
- Review foster parent license applications by utilizing the Nebraska foster care regulations and ensuring compliance with all requirements. This includes making licensing determinations such as approvals, denials, suspensions and revocations of foster care licenses.
- Ensuring all licensed foster care homes are in compliance with Federal Title IV-E regulations.
- Work closely with various foster care agencies in the State of Nebraska including problem solving, working towards foster care licensure/approval for all foster homes, provide guidance to child placing agencies on DHHS foster care regulations and policies and working together to serve foster parents and children in foster care.
- Pay close attention to detail ensuring audit documentation is completed, all documents are scanned into the foster parent file, compiling adoption packets and completing and reviewing background checks for foster care applicants.
- Work closely with various teams within the State of NE to ensure compliance with all regulations and policies. Be able to navigate various technology platforms including Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, WebEx and NFOCUS. Training will be provided.

Hiring Rate: $18.626
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday; 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Requirements / Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: Post high school coursework/training in social work, sociology, counseling, guidance, psychology, child development or related field and experience in resource development, eligibility determination or contract monitoring within a public service organization. OR Bachelor's degree in any of the fields listed above.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous Child and Family Services experience in Resource Development; or as either an ongoing or initial assessment worker.
- Knowledge of NFOCUS, Salesforce, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Experience working with child placing agencies.
- Prior auditing or Quality Assurance experience.
- Detailed-oriented, efficient, and adaptive.
Other: Valid driver's license or the ability to provide independent authorized transportation.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of: the principles and practices of social work; federal and State laws; regulations and guidelines concerning service delivery; the principles of individual and group behavior; the techniques of counseling; community service and service organizations.
Skill in: interviewing to collect and elicit essential information; communicating to receive and relay information; listen to and understand information received; use keyboard.
Ability to: learn and apply methods and procedures of Human Services Resource Development; learn and apply agency policies, procedures, programs and philosophy; protect confidential information; interact with community leaders; apply problem solving techniques to a variety of different circumstances; assess customer needs to provide proper services and financial assistance; manage multiple files and records; collect and maintain data and analyze for trends; prepare written case histories and reports.
