Job Description:
2. The Administrative Technician will use the Licensing Information System (LIS) to input the application and eligibility determination. From LIS, Administrative Technician will generate letters for eligibility or ineligibility. Administrative Technician will generate any mass communication letters from LIS when instructed to do so.
3. The Administrative Technician will generate fingerprint renewal notices when they become aware there has been a 180-day lapse in employment. For the long term, Administrative Technician will generate notices when fingerprint criminal history record check need to be renewed.
4. The Administrative Technician will have on-going communication with the Nebraska State Patrol specific to fingerprint criminal history record check problem solving and coordination.
5. The responsibility to maintain secure files of the criminal history records for the purpose of auditing, will be the responsibility of the Administrative Technician.
6. Administrative Technician will assist the Program Specialist and Program Manager II with processing fingerprint criminal history record check ineligibility appeal requests for prospective employees and household members in licensed child care.
7. Administrative Technician will assist with implementing the additions to Statute 71-1912 created by LB1185 and will follow steps outlined in Steps 1-6 above.
8. The Administrative Technician will communicate with applicable DHHS Divisions to ensure they are informed of the eligible or ineligible determinations as necessary.
Requirements / Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications: Coursework/training or experience related to research, presentation, or publication in an area related to the programs or functions of the employing agency; business administration; accounting; customer service; and/ or technical support work, including use of computer software such as word processing, spreadsheets, and database management.
Preferred Qualifications: One year of office support experience. Must have experience using personal computers and Microsoft computer software and be able to maintain extensive tracking systems. Previous License Issuance System (LIS), NFOCUS, and NDEN are a plus. 1-year experience in the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services a plus.
