Join us as a Court Services Analyst at the heart of the action in the Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) in the Nevada Supreme Court! As a Court Services Analyst, your work will be instrumental in shaping the future of the Nevada Supreme Court. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency and effectiveness of our operations.
The Court Services Analyst, under the direction of the Court Services Supervisor, is responsible for providing essential organizational support and assistance to the AOC staff. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of the AOC by conducting research and studies, monitoring promising nationwide innovations/initiatives, analyzing data and applicability, conducting gap and needs assessment, making well-researched and supported recommendations, and preparing comprehensive proposals and/or reports. The incumbent also assists in the planning, coordination, and implementation of operational improvements, project dissemination, and legislative matters within the AOC.
The position will be required to attend meetings outside of normal working hours; work occasional evening and weekend hours; and may be required to travel statewide as necessary.
After an initial training period, there may be an opportunity for a hybrid remote/in-office schedule.
Example of Duties
- Researches a variety of topics including current initiatives or potential innovations taking place in other states; policies, legal authorities; etc. to develop thoughtful, well-supported recommendations and create comprehensive reports/proposals.
- Review, write, and revise documents, forms, and/or processes for the work unit and/or programs.
- Assist with preparation and dissemination of information regarding projects and Commissions of the Supreme Court.
- Assist with the planning, organizing, and coordination of the development and implementation of revised operating procedures and methods to improve effectiveness and efficiency of operations.
- Assist with the development of new forms, work methods, and automated systems used to process information related to assigned programs.
- Interact with Justices, Supreme Court staff, and outside entities' management staff on assigned projects.
- Assist in the preparation of legislative matters for the AOC and judiciary, as well as review, monitor, track, and research bills submitted to the legislature impacting the Court and Judicial Branch; transcribing legislative testimony as necessary and assist with other duties in the AOC internal legislative process as needed.
- Provide staff support as needed to the AOC projects, Committees, and services.
- Complete Special Project Work as assigned, e.g., Court Improvement Project, Court Interpreters Program, Specialty Courts, Rural Courts, Secretariat, etc.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
We are looking for candidates with:
- Proficiency in research, analysis, and report writing.
- Strong research skills with the ability to synthesize complex information.
- Excellent organizational and project coordination abilities.
- Clear communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Adobe.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the capability to engage with internal and external stakeholders.
Effectively works remotely and collaborates with employees from a remote location, as needed. Must have expertise in virtual meeting platforms, such as Teams. Must have the ability to work remotely via an internet network connection provided by the employee. This connection speed must be sufficient to perform all duties. A minimum of 50-100 mb download speeds are required. Higher connection speed may be required if sharing this connection with other members in an employee’s household.
