Why does the job exist?
This position assists the agency's Administrative Services Division (ASD) in various workflow related tasks that support agency operations and initiatives. This is an important position to ensure that the agency is properly managing the activities as it relates to it's Operating Budget, Capital Outlay, and the Tribal Infrastructure Fund (TIF).
How does it get done?
Key Responsibilities may include the following :
- Accounts Payable (AP) - audit & review of invoices and Request for Payments, processing of operating transfers, and draw down submissions. Management of AP dedicated email.
- Procurement & Contracts - initiate purchase orders and assist with Contract workflow. Management of Procurement dedicated email.
- General Ledger- assists with journal entries, operating transfers, queries, etc.
- Fleet / Inventory- management of Fleet, inventory, and fixed assets.
Who are the customers?
Nations, Tribes, and Pueblos (Tribal Leaders, Tribal Community Members, Urban Indian Community Members) Tribal Serving Organizations and Partners.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have the following :
Minimum Qualification
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, or Business Administration and two (2) years directly related work experience in accounting, auditing, finance, and / or budgeting. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and / or direct experience in this occupation totaling six (6) years may substitute for the required education and experience.

Employment Requirements
Must possess and maintain a valid New Mexico Driver's License. Must possess and maintain a current Defensive Driving Course Certificate from the State of New Mexico or must pass and receive Defensive Driving Course Certification within six (6) months of date of hire as a condition of continued employment.
Working Conditions
Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual / Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage. Some sitting, standing, bending and reaching may be required.
