    The Administrative Operations Manager II / Statewide Clinical Director will :

  • Administer and oversee multiple programs throughout the state including Behavior Support Consultation, Crisis Support, Preliminary Risk Screening Consultation, and Sexuality Supports.
  • Promote the behavioral, emotional, and social well-being of the individuals we serve and their support systems.
  • Provide technical assistance, training and education on a variety of topics including positive behavior support, crisis support, sexuality support, community inclusion, human rights, and dignity of risk support.
  • How does it get done?

    The Administrative Operations Manager II / Statewide Clinical Director is responsible for :

  • Managing a statewide system of behavioral & sexuality services that provides training, consultation and oversight to community-based providers that serve individuals with intellectual and / or developmental on the DDSD Waivers.
  • Formulating & implementing community provider standards & quality reviews of services to enhance the efficient delivery of services.
  • Mentoring and directly supervising 5-6 Regional Behavior Specialist positions statewide.

    Our customers are the waiver individuals, services providers, contractors and DDSD staff.

    Ideal Candidate

    The ideal candidate has :

  • A Master's Degree in related field.
  • Experience supervising staff residing in multiple locations.
  • Experience working with intellectual and / or developmentally disabled individuals.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills experience with counselors, physicians, nurses, families, and other community providers to plan and coordinate treatment, drawing on clinical experience and based on the individual needs of the client.
  • Experience collecting and documenting information about clients through staffing with community providers, interviews, and observation to evaluate clients' physical or mental health.
  • Expertise in person-centered advocacy to be solution oriented and resolve concerns and crisis situations.
  • Minimum Qualification

    A Bachelor's degree in any field of study from an accredited college or university and eight (8) years of professional level experience with a light strategic impact directly related to the purpose of the position defined by the agency at the time of recruitment. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university and / or direct experience in this occupation totaling twelve (12) years may substitute for the required education and experience. A hiring agency will designate a portion of the required experience to include management, supervisory and / or specialized experience. Any required licensure, certification or registration shall be defined at the time of recruitment and will be in addition to the above requirements.

  • Education and years of experience must be related to the purpose of the position.
  • If Minimum Qualification requires a specific number of "semester hours" in a field (e.g. 6 semester hours in Accounting), applicants MUST have those semester hours in order to meet the minimum qualifications. No substitutions apply for semester hours.
  • Employment Requirements

    Must possess and maintain a valid New Mexico Driver's License. Must possess and maintain a current Defensive Driving Course Certificate from the State of New Mexico or must pass and receive a Defensive Driving Course Certificate as a condition of continued employment within 45 days of employment. Travel may be required with some occasional overnight stays. Successful completion of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). Current New Mexico as a licensed psychologist, LCSW, LCIW, LMFT, or LPCC and three (3) years of experience as it pertains to the essential duties and responsibilities of the classification. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and or direct experience in this occupation totaling three (3) years may substitute for the required experience.

    Working Conditions

  • Office setting with extensive use of personal computer, telephone, fax, copier and other related office equipment that involves sitting, standing, bending, reaching, etc. to include lifting up to 30 pounds.
