Why does the job exist?
The Human Resource Generalist II will:
Provide customer service to over 2000 employees within The Health Care Authority (HCA);
Process payroll transactions for new hires, promotions, terminations and retro payments prior to close of Department of Finance and Administration (DFA) deadlines;
Process manual warrants for employees not paid during normal payroll deadlines;
Process all employee changes (W-4, direct deposit, etc.), perform leave audits, process leave adjustments, correct exceptions in Time and Labor, complete bi-weekly payroll analysis, maintain payroll filing system and all other duties as assigned.
How does it get done?
The Human Resource Generalist II is responsible for:
Providing assistance and guidance as a Payroll Specialists to HCA management and employees regarding the entry and processing of payroll related items in a timely, accurate and efficient manner while working in a team environment.

Health Care Authority (HCA) Employees;
Other State Agencies.
Ideal Candidate

Minimum Qualification
Bachelor's degree in any field. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling four (4) years may substitute for the required education.
Employment Requirements
Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
Working Conditions
Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT), extensive personal computer and phone usage.
