The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for the Department of Game and Fish's new employee orientation, assisting with bi-weekly payroll reporting, records management, data analytics, and other projects as assigned.
How does it get done?
This position serves a key role in the Department of Game and Fish Human Resource Bureau as the lead in conducting new employee orientation. As the Human Resources Generalist, the incumbent will work closely with Senior Administrators, and the Human Resources Director to ensure the successful accomplishment of the Department's recruitment needs. Additional responsibilities of this position include data analytics, payroll reporting, and data entry in the Human Capital Management system (SHARE). The Human Resources Generalist is also the Human Resources Bureau record retention liaison and is tasked with record management of personnel files, workers compensation records and family medical leave files.

Minimum Qualification
Bachelor's degree in any field. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling four (4) years may substitute for the required education.
Employment Requirements
Pre-employment background investigation is required and is conditional pending results. Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License. Must possess and maintain a current Defensive Driving Course Certificate from the State of New Mexico or must pass and receive Defensive Driving Course Certification as a condition of continued employment.
Working Conditions
Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage. Some sitting, standing, bending and reaching may be required.
