Why does the job exist?
The Legal Secretary - III will:
Provide legal support services for the Child Support Services Division (CSSD), staff and attorneys in CSSD county offices.
How does it get done?
The Legal Secretary - III will be responsible for:
Completing all after court activities on cases and updating the Child Support Enforcement System (CSES);
Tracking legal documents, preparing and tracking process service documents;
Scheduling and tracking genetic testing;
Scheduling text message reminders;
Conducting locate searches;
Acting as back up reception and file room clerk as needed.

Parties of child support cases;
Employers, courts and contractors;
Child Support Services Division (CSSD) field staff, management and Attorneys.
Ideal Candidate

Child Support Services Division (CSSD) field staff, management and Attorneys.
Minimum Qualification
High School diploma or equivalent with one (1) year of directly related clerical and/or secretarial experience utilizing legal terminology, procedures, and documents. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling one (1) year may substitute for the required experience.
Employment Requirements
Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
Employment is subject to a pre-employment criminal history background investigation and is conditional pending results.
Must obtain a Defensive Driving Certificate.
Working Conditions
Office setting, exposure to VDT, extensive personal computer and phone usage. Some travel may be required.
