Why does the job exist?
The Line Manager II/Caregiver Criminal Screening Program Line Manager will:
Provide support and oversight to the caregiver's criminal history screening program and ensure the Bureau is operating to highest capacity.
How does it get done?
The Line Manager II/Caregiver Criminal Screening Program Line Manager is responsible for:
Supporting and overseeing legal unit, training unit and administrative staff;
Overseeing onboarding of new employees and meet resource needs of all staff;
Acting upon leave requests;
Reviewing and approving timesheets;
Conducting performance evaluations;
Providing guidance and direction;
Serving as backup for the training unit, legal unit and Bureau Chief;
Providing statistical analysis of the entire department;
Creating and maintaining CCHSP quality assurance tool for each unit;
Gathering data and presenting that data to each unit every quarter;
Creating remediation plans for all issues discovered during the quality assurance assessment.

Minimum Qualification
A Bachelor's degree in any field of study from an accredited college or university and four (4) years of professional level experience operating within limited parameters and guidelines directly related to the purpose of the position defined by the agency at the time of recruitment. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling eight (8) years may substitute for the required education and experience. A hiring agency will designate a portion of the required experience to include supervisory and/or specialized experience. Any required licensure, certification or registration shall be defined at the time of recruitment and will be in addition to the above requirements.
Employment Requirements
Must possess and maintain a valid New Mexico Driver's License. Must Possess and maintain a current Defensive driving Course Certificate from the State of New Mexico or must pass and receive Defensive Driving Course Certification as a condition of continued employment.
Working Conditions
Office setting, exposure to VDT, extensive personal computer and phone usage.
