Why does the job exist?
This position will be responsible for carrying out a variety of secretarial duties in a Protective Services field office.
How does it get done?
Will provide office support such as employee travel reimbursement, invoice payments, opening and closing files, procuring office supplies, etc. in a professional manner and within specified deadlines (40%).
Will provide reception support, screening incoming calls, greeting and responding to public needs (30%).
Will provide FACTS support by entering and researching past due payments (20%).
Will perform other duties as assigned by supervisor (10%).
Minimum Qualification
High School diploma or equivalent and three (3) months of related experience in office administration. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling three (3) months may substitute for the required experience.
Employment Requirements
Must possess a current and valid Driver's License. Pre-employment background investigation is required and conditional pending results.
Working Conditions
Work is performed in an office setting: late hours and weekend work may be required. Will be exposed to regular periods of video display terminal and keyboard usage and stressful situations. Travel is required. Possible exposure to irate clientele. Incumbent will work under stress and frequent time constraints.
