Job Opportunity: RN - Med/Surg (Glens Falls, NY).
Position: Immediately need an experienced RN - Med/Surg nurse for the 3 months of the contract in New York.
Details:
Title: RN - Medical - Surgical
Location: Glens Falls
Duration: 13 weeks (Extendable)
Shift: 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM. 12 hours. 3 days a week.
Pay rate: Lucrative pay Benefits Bonuses
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience.
- Active license in NY state.
- COVID Vaccinated.
- BLS / CPR Preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and monitor vital signs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection processing.
- Maintain accurate patient records using eClinicalWorks and ensure compliance with medical terminology and ICD-9 coding.
- Develop and implement individualized discharge planning for patients.
- Provide education to patients and families regarding health management and post-discharge care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care for patients, particularly in senior care and acute care settings.
- Demonstrate knowledge of anatomy and infant care when applicable, ensuring safety and comfort for all patients.
Experience:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Previous experience in a Medical/Surgical setting preferred.
- Familiarity with electronic health records systems, specifically eClinicalWorks, is a plus.
- Knowledge of ICD-9 coding, medical terminology, discharge planning, senior care, specimen collection processing, and acute care practices is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
