Description of Work
The primary purpose of the Trainer III position is to provide direct supervision of the daily operations of the assigned home; to ensure safety and quality active treatment for the people residing there. The role now serves as the Trainer III of the home that they are assigned and is responsible for providing input and following through if changes need to occur under the guidance of the home QIDP. The Trainer III provides direct administrative supervision of Health Care Technician II positions (Programmers and Charge) across first and second shifts and Health Care Technician I (Trainer I) positions on their assigned shift. The Trainer III is directly supervised by the home’s QIDP.
This position is scheduled to work 40 hrs per week (8 hour days, Monday – Friday and a rotating weekend schedule).This position is designated Mandatory and must report or stay over during adverse weather events.
Salary Grade MH04: Recruitment Range $33,272.00 - $49,908.00
Position 60049201 - Summit/Pine - 2nd shift (3:00 pm - 11:30 pm), Monday-Friday and every other weekend

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies
- Documented experience with the development and/or implementation of programs or documented experience working in a supervisory role in a healthcare related field.
- To be considered for employment the applicant must be in good standing with the NC Health Care Personnel Registry.
- Employee will be required to successfully complete training through our Staff Development department which includes, but is not limited to CPI, CPR, Body Mechanics and lifting.
- Frequent lifting and bending required.
Management Preferences:
- Experience providing supervision of daily operations in residential setting under ICF standards.
- Experience ensuring safety and quality active treatment for persons with IDD as a primary diagnosis
- Working knowledge of computer usage and programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience planning activities for residents with IDD as a primary diagnosis
- Experience assigning staff members, scheduling staff members, and giving feedback to staff.
- Experience providing direct care and using behavior interventions with persons with IDD as a primary diagnosis.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
