Note: Permanent and time-limited NC State Government employees must separate from their permanent or time-limited position in order to work in a temporary position. All temporaries are limited to one NC State Government temporary assignment at a time.

This temporary position is located in West Tabor City, NC - Columbus County.
Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $21.66 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application).
This temporary position will be assigned to the Department of Adult Correction (DAC). This position is located at 4600 Swamp Fox Hwy W, Tabor City, NC 28463,
This position will be assigned to the mailroom at Tabor Correctional Institution in Tabor City, NC. This position will assist in handling all incoming/outgoing mail for a population of up to 1750 offenders and over 500 staff members. Mail is required to be searched for contraband and is sorted by unit. Outgoing mail will also be reviewed for proper addresses and postage. This position will work with and be responsible for processing courier mail, bus mail U.S. mail, certified mail, UPS packages and FedEx packages. You will be delivering legal mail to offenders. Must have the ability to lift 50 pounds.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
