Previous applicants are still under consideration and do not need to reapply.***The position is located at the Central Region Office in Raleigh, NC and will report and provide support to the Administrative Specialist II as well as the Business Officer II. Job responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Processing hiring packages and scheduling interviews for applicable candidates being considered for positions within Central Region.
- Assisting with hiring process for all positions for 15 prisons in the Central Region.
- Creating and updating Excel spreadsheets, filing all related work, answering the multi-line telephone system, and making photocopies.
- Assisting in personnel roles and performs other duties as assigned by management staff.
- Maintaining effectively files/records according to policy to allow quick, easy access and retrieval of information requested.
- Composing memos/letters, proofreading documents, inputting and comprehending computer-generated data and reviewing completed tasks.
- Meeting daily/monthly deadlines, maintaining confidentiality, working well independently and in a fast-paced environment.
- Performing physical inventory of fixed assets and creating spreadsheets for documentation purposes.
- Providing back up for the receptionist and other duties as assigned.
- Displaying good communication skills, organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task.
- Travelling within the Central Region, if necessary.
- Backing up P-Card reconciler.
This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with State Benefits with established working hours of Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm and may require working beyond normal work schedule to meet business need.Note to Current State Employees:The salary grade for this position is NC02 (Salary Range: $31,200 - $46,734). State employees are encouraged to apply for positions of interest even if the salary grade is the same as, or lower than, their current position. If selected for this position, a new salary will be recalculated taking into consideration the quantity of relevant education and experience, funding availability, and internal equity. About the Central Region Office:The Central Region Office is 1 of 4 regional offices across the state of North Carolina. Each regional office is charged with providing direction, guidance, and support to the prisons in its domain.
