The Administrative Specialist I is responsible for help covering reception duties and providing administrative support. This position provides general office support to include copying and faxing. This position will also help answering a multiple line switchboard and routing all calls to the appropriate person. Greet all clients and visitors when entering the building.  Open and distribute all incoming mail.  Address and meter all outgoing mail correspondence. Receive and send correspondence via fax and mail. Take state cars in for service/repairs to the dealership/auto center. Other duties will include organizing documents to be submitted to medical records, assisting our Quality Assurance Coordinator with gathering data and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualified applicants must possess, and application must clearly reflect work experience that demonstrates the following:

  • Demonstrated experience with Windows and Microsoft office programs (knowledge of any other programs is a plus).
  • Demonstrated experience with writing emails and proofreading documents/presentations.
  • Proven experience meeting deadline-driven tasks/projects.

Management Preferences:

Knowledge of principles and practices of Health Information Management, Infant Toddler Program and medical terminology, FERPA and HIPAA, and Medicaid service record requirements.
