Position Overview :
The NC Medicaid Office of Compliance and Program Integrity (OCPI) monitors the Medicaid community (beneficiaries, providers, vendors and internal staff) for compliance with state and federal regulations and potential fraud, abuse and neglect. OCPI verifies dollars are paid appropriately for covered services by using claim reviews and investigations, implementing recoveries, pursuing recoupments and aggressively identifying other opportunities for cost avoidance.
The Business Services Analyst, classified as an Administrative Officer I, reports to the Business Services Manager. This position performs a variety of business, fiscal, and administrative functions to address the business needs of OCPI. Work requires constant interaction with the public, recipients, providers, staff members, management, external partners, and vendors. This role will be responsible for intake and processing complaints, maintaining and updating the case management system, assisting with vendor and contract management, financial analysis, data analysis, and creating reports.
Job Specific Responsibilities :
- Responsible for contract monitoring plan : manage contracts, services and deliverables in accordance with contract terms and DHB policies and procedures.
- Assist in the preparation of new contract scope of work, amendments, extensions and budget requests.
- Maintain and publish the Excluded Providers list in accordance with DHB policies and procedures
- Perform period reconciliations
- Process File Maintenance Requests (FMR) and NCTracks updates
- Ensure all contract documentation is up to date and in compliance with DHB's policies and procedures
- Investigate and address contract issues
- Other vendor management duties as needed
- Maintain and organize emails in multiple inboxes
