This Administrative Officer I position is located within the Case Records Management Section of the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation (SBI). It is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with
The Supervisor of the Case Records Management Section manages the investigative reporting system for the SBI and oversees all daily operations related to case records management. This position supervises a team, including three unit supervisors, who are responsible for copying, scanning, inputting, organizing, and conducting quality control reviews of investigative reports and documents from approximately 280 investigative agents. The supervisor ensures the accuracy and compliance of statistical data, resolves technical issues, and oversees the dissemination of investigative reports to state and federal agencies in accordance with SBI guidelines. This position plays a critical role in evaluating new technologies, transitioning processes to a new case records management system, and providing training to new agents on system functionality. Additionally, the supervisor establishes section objectives, manages resources to achieve those goals, and advises the Assistant Director on technological matters to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the section. Serving as the point of contact for case records requirements, this role is vital to ensuring the integrity of case records and supports the SBI's mission by enabling accurate and efficient reporting of investigative activities.

- Demonstrated experience handling confidential and sensitive information in a business setting.
- Demonstrated skills and experience in providing support to users of IT applications used to perform business functions, which may include training, user administration, usage advice, problem determination and resolution, and / or system administration.
- Skill in analyzing and evaluating documents by applying established standards, regulations and laws.
- Ability to establish and maintain favorable working relationships with agency personnel, external partners and vendors.
Selected candidates will undergo and must successfully complete a comprehensive background investigation which includes : pre-employment polygraph examination; credit and arrest checks; interviews with associates, personal and business references; verification interviews of employers; verification of education achievement; urinalysis drug screening; and submission of fingerprints.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor's degree from an appropriately accredited institution and one year of experience in HR, budgeting, research or administrative management; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
