Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $15.00 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application).  This temporary position will be assigned to the Department of Public Safety.  This position is located at 451 W Belvoir Rd, Greenville, NC 27834.
This Position Will Assist The Food Service Supervisor To Provide Support Of The Facility's Child Nutrition Program And Will Ensure Compliance With The Department's Federal Child Nutrition Program Regulation By

- Providing nutritionally adequate meals meeting the Federal Child Nutrition Program patterns;Â
- Maintaining required records, reports, and inventory in compliance with federal and state regulations;
- Requisition food and supplies as needed;
- Checking the cost and quality of items received and insure proper storage;
- Complying with policies and procedures of the Department;6. Assuming any responsibilities as designated by the Detention Center Food Supervisor I and/or immediate supervisor.
- Considerable knowledge of the methods for preparing meals, vegetables, and foods in quantity lots.
- Considerable knowledge of the uses and adaptabilities of the various pieces of equipment including food processors and ovens.Â
- Ability to maintain high standard of personal cleanliness as well as food sanitation.Â
- Ability to interpret and follow standard recipes and prescribe menus as well as specific oral and written instructions.Â
- Thorough knowledge of the cooking times and temperatures of various foods and methods of preserving their flavor, food value, and salary.Â
