What are the responsibilities and job description for the Correctional Case Manager - Nash Correctional position at State of North Carolina?
Reporting to a Correctional Programs Supervisor, this position is primarily responsible for all aspects concerning caseload of offenders at a medium custody correctional facility. Job responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Carrying a caseload of offenders, which involves supportive counseling, conducting assessments, developing case plans, answer and follow up on offender questions and problems.
- Making recommendations to classification committee.
- Assisting in major dynamic programs or coordinate major or specialized programs for the rehabilitation of offenders, such as offender work assignments, work release, education, or recreation.
- Transition planning and coordinating.
- Planning and coordinating transition (re-entry) prior to parole or release into the community.
As of January 01, 2025, there are new increase adjustments to the state's pay plans which were approved by the State Human Resources Commission, effective January 01, 2025.

If selected for this position, a new salary will be recalculated taking into consideration the quantity of relevant education and experience, funding availability, and internal equity. Necessary Special Qualifications: Must be eligible for certification by the North Carolina Criminal Justice Education & Training Standards Commission.
