- This position is an onsite position and will be required to be in the office during normal business hours 5 days per week. Limited evening work and travel may be required to support agency events and meetings.
The North Carolina Community College System (System Office) is a statewide network of 58 public community colleges. The system enrolls over 500,000 students annually. This position serves as the executive assistant to the President and Chief of Staff. Public contact is a major component of this position, both internal and external to the organization. Work requires contact with program staff, managers of other units within the organization, representatives of other state agencies / universities, students, college presidents, elected / appointed representatives, State Board members and the public. This position will support the System President and Chief of Staff by providing office coordination, including scheduling, travel arrangements and travel reimbursement. This position will provide support for meetings including recording meeting minutes, creating invitations and agendas, proof reading documents and other forms of communication. Technology skills are essential in maintaining files, providing technical support for virtual meetings and communicating meeting arrangements with participants.
The recruitment salary is up to $70,000.
