In this position, you will monitor construction activities in HiCAMS and Construction Team Site to ensure proper documentation during the construction process. You will review the monthly estimates submitted by the Resident Engineer's staff for completeness and accuracy. You will check the contract final estimates and the documentation that supports those estimates. This includes reviewing final estimates for compliance with established procedures, checking contract pay record books and ticket books for accuracy, compiling information regarding contract requirements and reporting of payments, communicating with contractors and the Department's project personnel to validate data, editing entries in HiCAMS, and processing final estimate for payment. You will communicate with internal and external construction partners throughout the estimate process.
You will provide assistance to internal NCDOT staff with technical support in HiCAMS and Construction Team Sites. You will research project records as necessary to assist in the evaluation of claims. You will coordinate public record requests for employees, attorneys, public officials, and contractors. You will review contract files to ensure that claims and agreements are accurately maintained. You will compile and transfer project records in accordance with the record retention procedures. You may provide technical support regarding business procedures and proper use of systems and develop standard and non-standard reports for system users, Departmental audits, and public requests.
