This temporary position is located in Greenville, NC - Pitt County.

Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay : $30.00 (Based on education and / or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application).

This temporary position will be assigned to the Department of Health and Human Services. This position is located at 2577 W 5th St, Greenville, NC 27834.

This position is responsible for the day-to-day user support and maintenance of the software and hardware for the approx. 230 user / devices at the Walter B. Jones Center. As part of an IT team in the role of desktop management, assesses the automation needs and problems of clients; assists clients in selecting hardware and software solutions to those automation needs an / or problems;trains users of computer systems either by informal assistance over the phone or in person. The User Support Analyst troubleshoots and resolves routine technical service and equipment problems within established processes and procedures and makes recommendations for problem prevention. The position provides hardware and software planning, technical advice, project support, training to internal customers and maintains support documentation to meet established policies and procedures. The position will also serve as the Disaster Recovery Coordinator. This position has access to Protected Health Information (PHI) covered under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 and Confidential Substance Abuse Patient Information covered under 42 CFR Part 2. This position may be required to lift up to 50lbs. This position WILL be required to report to work on-site; this is not a remote position.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies

• Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues related to healthcare IT systems.
• Proficiency in Windows, macOS, mobile devices, and remote desktop support.
• Experience using IT Service Management (ITSM) tools like ServiceNow for ticketing and issue tracking.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelors degree in computer science or an IT related field from an appropriately accredited institution plus one year of experience in the information technology field related to the position s role; or Associate degree in computer science or an IT related field from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of experience in the information technology field related to the position s role; or High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and four years of experience in the field of technology related to the position's role; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
