Ohio Department of Public Safety - Bureau of Motor Vehicles/Field Operations/Deputy Technical Services
Work hours: Monday thru Friday 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p. m. and Saturdays 7:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (Hours may vary)

What You'll Do as a Data Systems Coordinator 1:
Coordinate & monitor implementation, development, installation &/or maintenance of computer hardware/software systems:
- Provide first level service helpdesk support for & act as liaison between BMV & the state of Ohio Deputy Registrars, Exam Stations, IRP offices, LADR offices, & FADR offices;
- Use manual to troubleshoot & rectify minor issues pertaining to hardware, application (BASS), & network issues;
- Escalate major & non-routine issues to higher level programmers, network technicians &/or vendors;
- Provide assistance regarding operational & procedural inquiries (including, but is not limited to, questions pertaining to vehicle registration, the Ohio Revised Code, Deputy Registrar Manual, Ohio traffic laws, & all related procedures & processes).
- Maintain computer log of calls & issues including origin & content of call;
- Initiate & monitor trouble tickets (ServiceNow) for ongoing escalated issues;
- Identify & report any patterned or frequent technical or procedural issues;
- Perform other related duties as required (e.g., prepare weekly summary of reported inquiries; providing information for the update of procedural & technical manuals, etc.).
