DCY is seeking a Human Services Program Administrator 3 to administer and coordinate Child Protective Services policies and programs in the Bureau of Children Services Policy and Supports. Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Under the direction of the Bureau Chief:
- Policy Development and Compliance: Overseeing the creation and implementation of rules, policies, and procedures to ensure statewide compliance with both federal and state laws.
- Technical Consultation: Offering technical support to county and private children services administrators to ensure effective child protection services.
- Strategic Improvement: Designing strategies for statewide implementation to enhance the operational efficiency of child protection services.
- Collaboration: Consulting with various federal, state, and local agencies on contracts, grants, and agreements.
- Innovative Initiatives: Identifying and developing new initiatives, addressing inquiries, and managing complaints from multiple stakeholders.
- Representation: Representing the Department of Children and Youth at conferences and meetings, presenting and preparing reports.
- Fiscal Management: Analyzing the fiscal impact and providing budgetary recommendations.
- Staff Supervision: Supervising and developing staff, conducting evaluations, and managing team performance.
- Additional Duties: Engaging in inter-agency collaborations, attending training, and maintaining records.

- Or completion of graduate core program in social or behavioral science or medicine-related field; 18 mos. exp. in delivery of human services or medical assistance in governmental, community or private human support services agency or medical provider; 6 mos. exp. in management; 12 mos. exp. in supervisory principles/techniques.
- Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
Supplemental Information
Unless required by legislation or union contract, starting salary will be the minimum salary of the salary range 14 (step 1, currently $37.53 per hour) associated with this position.

Proficiency Instruments/Assessments may be required for this position; Applicant must demonstrate proficiency with a passing score to move on to the structured interview portion. Regardless of a passing or failing score, all results will be maintained for 6 months. Applicant with a passing score will be retained and utilized this 6-month period. Applicant with a failing score in the same classification may not re-take the same selection assessment for this 6-month period.
Travel required, as needed. Must provide own transportation or, in order to operate a state vehicle, you must have a valid driver’s license.
