HYBRID WORK ELIGIBLE - Planning Manager
(220002SQ)At the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission (OFCC), it is our mission to lead collaboration with our partners in the planning, design, and construction of public facilities through quality service, expertise, and knowledge sharing.
JOB DUTIES:
This position is responsible for:
- Executing, administering, reviewing, and developing Statewide building assessments, programs, and master plans for OFCC.
- Guiding school districts and agency owners on policies, procedures, eligibility, and options for participation in OFCC programs and actively engaging them in the planning process.
- Acting as primary point-of-contact for OFCC on all assigned projects in the planning phase.
- Overseeing production and quality control of all documents required for execution of agreements between OFCC and the owner on assigned projects.
- Consulting with appropriate parties to develop and recommend alternatives to achieve a resolution when issues arise in an efficient and effective manner and enforcing established policies and procedures as required.
- Recommending policy or procedure changes when feasible to increase efficiency of project delivery.
- Managing outside consultants who support OFCC programs for facility condition assessment and planning and program delivery oversight;
- Coordinating and administering planning services and early architectural programming activities for building design
- Conducting on-site reviews/confirmation of renovation scope and developing budgets for building renovations and new construction.
- Conducting meetings with owners to review assessments, master plans, and progress of projects between the architect, OFCC consultants, and project owners
- Providing oversight in developing and reviewing assessment and master plans and verifying consistency with the facility guidelines and OFCC policy and practices
- Manages projects through the design process, including scheduling, budgeting, conceptual program development and/or review of the same
- Researching information and preparing correspondence in response to inquiries and requests for information regarding current or completed projects
- Representing OFCC at public meetings
- Researching best practices and developing master planning and capital planning processes and protocols for agencies and institutions of higher education.
HYBRID WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position currently offers the opportunity to work remotely 4 days per week by leveraging communication via Microsoft Teams and other video-conferencing software. On assigned in-office days, this position would require working from our offices located in the William Green Building. Travel required for this position can vary and amounts to approximately 20% of the time.
