What You'll Do:
The Inventory Control Specialist 2 works under general supervision and requires thorough knowledge of inventory control, agency policies & procedures, and state regulations on inventory control and salvage & surplus disposal in order to maintain extensive agency-wide inventory. Duties include:
- Use inventory system to coordinate, distribute, analyze, and monitor inventory.
- Receive, inspect, distribute, and maintain inventory of materials, supplies, and equipment for statewide distribution.
- Perform inventory counts in warehouse to include unstack/restack pallets and remove/repack interior boxes from cases.
- Enter, update, verify, track, and maintain computerized inventory.
- Prepare and assist with loading & unloading of materials, supplies, and equipment for statewide shipments.
- Operate material handling equipment (MHE) to organize materials in warehouse.
- Move & lift objects weighing up to thirty (30) pounds.
- As assigned, assist with development, implementation and enforcement of policies & procedures on warehouse inventory control and salvage disposal
- Monitor receipt and disposition of surplus inventory and resolves problems involved with inventory of supplies
- Prepare inventory reports for quality control and data reconciliation
- Assist other warehouse personnel with various duties (e.g., answering phones, reviewing
packing requests, assisting with special and/or rush orders) - Attend meetings and training sessions pertaining to warehouse management and inventory
Normal working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. This is an hourly position, with a pay range of 28 on the OCSEA Pay Range Schedule.
This is an intermittent, temporary position. The final candidate selected for this position will not be permitted to exceed 1,000 hours worked per fiscal year.

OR
18 months training or 18 months experience in inventory control AND 3 courses or 9 months experience in electronic data processing related to inventory control AND 1 course or 3 months experience in public relations.

Equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.
