\r\nRecruitment and Retention\r\n\r\nSalary:� $4,225.00 monthly\r\n\r\nThis is an unclassified position; selections will be made without the use of an interview committee per OP-110235 V.A. \r\nOklahoma Department of Corrections\r\nUnclassified Job Descriptor\r\nRECRUITMENT AND RETENTION SPECIALIST\r\nBasic Purpose:\r\nPositions in this job assist in the search of viable candidates for agency positions statewide by developing and enacting strategies to increase employee retention and satisfaction. \r\nTypical Functions:\r\n•�Conducts community outreach and engagement activities at statewide recruiting events such as career fairs, Veterans centers, military bases, vocational schools, colleges and universities, employment agencies, and with the Oklahoma Employment Securities Commission in order to generate leads and prospects; prepares recruiting announcements concerning job vacancies.� \r\n•�Engages applicants and new hires in the first 30/60/90 days of employment to ensure successful completion or onboarding, training, and integration into the agency; gathers new hire survey data for future employee engagements.� \r\n•�Conducts interviews of applicants and new hires obtaining feedback to determine agency needs and best practices for hiring and retaining of personnel.\r\n•�Tracks and inputs measureable outcomes, strategic needs, and recruitment and retention marketing performance with key findings and implications on Smartsheet dashboard. \r\n•�Works in coordination with various public and state talent acquisition teams across the state to leverage established best practices and represent the agency in committees and associations to increase knowledge of best practices and shared collaboration of resources related to recruiting and retention. \r\n•�Develops, maintains, and analyzes statistical data of assigned area demographics to form current and projected trends; evaluates retention data, forms, and files; analyzes exit survey data to identify factors leading to employee exit. \r\n•�Establishes and maintains relationships with agency units, facility heads, facility management, and employees; assists with facility employee enhancement efforts with retention strategies specific to the geographic areas. \r\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:\r\nKnowledge of agency policies and procedures concerning security practices, facility operations, emergency procedures, training and employee development, and human resources; of federal and state laws, rules, and regulations pertaining to state employment; of marketing and advertising techniques and principles. Knowledge of, and skill in, the use and application of appropriate information technology. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others; to organize, develop, and clearly and concisely present ideas, strategies, and plans to stakeholders; to uphold public relations principles and code of ethics; to gather, analyze, and disseminate data and effectively communicate the information. \r\nEducation and Experience:\r\nStatutorily Required:� N/A\r\nMinimum Qualifications:� \r\nBachelor’s degree and five (5) consecutive years of experience in a correctional setting; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. \r\nPreferred Qualifications:�� \r\nBachelor’s degree in business, criminal justice, or related field and five (5) years of experience in a correctional setting. \r\nSpecial Requirements:\r\nExtensive travel and occasional overnight stays may be required.
