DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Corrections Painting Trade Instructor, you will provide on-the-job training and shop instruction to inmates at SCI Camp Hill. You will demonstrate best practices, methods, and procedures of applying paint, wallpaper, and vinyl wall coverings. You will also provide instruction for coating, inspecting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of surfaces including walls, ceilings, floors, roofs, fences, cabinets, furniture, metal, fixtures, signs, and woodwork. It is important to establish and maintain effective working relationships to guide inmate work crews completing painting work orders while exercising care, custody, and control over inmates at all times. In addition, you will plan inmate schedules, document inmate training progress, and inspect completed work assignments.

Work Schedule and Additional Information :
- Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
- Work hours are 7 : 30 AM to 3 : 30 PM, Monday - Friday
- This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.
