As a Geospatial Analyst with the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency (PEMA), you will utilize Esri ArcGIS and other GIS technologies to address routine and emergent business needs of PEMA.
Description of Work
You will design and create maps, charts, surveys and applications through the use of ArcPro and cloud-based GIS software. You will participate in the development and maintenance of PEMA's Strategic Plan. This role is key in helping us coordinate with others in the state to keep Pennsylvanians safe.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and create maps, charts, surveys and applications using ArcPro and cloud-based GIS software.
- Develop and maintain geodatabases and GIS data spatial repositories using geospatial data standards.
- Maintain geospatial data according to agency and security protocols and governance.
- Research and analyze data and resources to meet user requirements.
Requirements:
- A minimum of one year of experience as a Geospatial Specialist 2, or two years of technical experience utilizing geospatial programs to capture, store, manipulate, analyze, maintain and present geospatial data.
- An associate's degree in geographic information systems, geography, geospatial technology, cartography, computer science, natural science, or related STEM field, including six credits in geospatial coursework.
- The ability to develop and maintain geodatabases and GIS data spatial repositories using geospatial data standards.
- The ability to maintain geospatial data according to agency and security protocols and governance.
- The ability to research and analyze data and resources to meet user requirements.
