Under the supervision of the Bureau Director of Organizational Development in Health Strategy & External Affairs/Office of the Chief of Staff, who oversees agencywide policy administration, training, and workforce development, this position provides support with agency policy coordination and a variety of administrative tasks. Key responsibilities include scheduling meetings, drafting agendas, recording meeting minutes and action items, assisting with Microsoft SharePoint updates, serving as an asset coordinator, and providing backup support to the Deputy Area Operations Coordinator.
We are looking for a candidate who brings the following skills to the table:
-Organizational Skills: Expertise in managing documentation, time management, and attention to detail.
-Policy & Procedure Knowledge: Understanding of policies, compliance, and policy review processes.
-Communication Skills: Proven ability to collaborate effectively and communicate clearly and concisely, both in writing and verbally.
-Project Management: Skilled in tracking project progress, managing timelines, and taking detailed meeting minutes.
-Problem-Solving & Critical Thinking: Able to assess situations, identify needed adjustments, and resolve issues efficiently.
-Technology Proficiency: Proficient in data management and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), with the ability to learn SharePoint if not already familiar. Also skilled in using modern office equipment.
-Confidentiality & Discretion: Experienced in handling sensitive information with discretion and maintaining confidentiality.
-Adaptability & Flexibility: Comfortable adapting to changing organizational or deputy area priorities, and policy updates while staying current on best practices.
-Interpersonal Skills: Strong relationship-building abilities and a customer-focused orientation.
A bachelor's degree with at least two (2) years' experience in administrative services, policy management, business management, public administration, or a closely allied field.
Must be able to operate state-owned vehicles. Occasional travel may be required for meetings and trainings.

A master's degree is preferred.
