Serve as Administrative Coordinator for the Finance Division. Work closely with all division managers to ensure activities and responsibilities are carried out in an efficient and effective manner. Responsible for the preparation and collection of data, composition of letters, production of customized reports, and provide support to new and on-going programs as assigned by the Vice President and Associate Vice President for Finance. Coordinate the following activities for the Finance Department but are not limited to scheduling, reserving meeting rooms, and providing support for the Chief Business Officers Peer Group and Accounting Manager's Peer Group for the sixteen technical colleges, and other functions as needed. Perform administrative duties to include development of correspondence, maintaining files, screening incoming communications, investigating and resolving problems, and monitoring departmental deadlines. Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned to support the divisions.
A high school diploma and relevant experience in business management, public administration, or administrative services or a bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required work experience.
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Power point. Must be organized, detail oriented and have the ability to multi-task. Establish and maintain a working relationship with the public, agency personnel and business contacts; ability to communicate effectively and efficiently orally and in writing; ability to exercise judgment and discretion in applying and interpreting laws, policies and procedures pertaining to the assigned programs area.
