Job Responsibilities

- Develop and facilitate local training for all staff members to ensure implementation and coordination of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) performance measures.
- Coordinate training for all staff on a regular basis in the interpretation and implementation of Consumer Services Policy, including the application and eligibility process, vocational assessment, disability management, training and job search/placement assistance to ensure area office success.
- In coordination with the Area Supervisor, assume responsibility of a vacant caseload.
- In coordination with your team, assist with providing services, such as training and employment opportunities, for transition students.
- Serve as a member of the local area management team to assist in the development, implementation, and execution of a strategic plan to meet the needs of the area office and job readiness training center, consumers and businesses.
- Master's degree and attainment of the CSPD state standard for counselors, with a minimum of five years related experience.
- Four years of vocational rehabilitation experience in consumer service delivery and employer/job placement activities.
- Knowledge of psychological, educational and developmental needs of educationally, socially or psychologically impaired individuals.
- Knowledge of individual and group counseling techniques.
- Knowledge of Agency policies and procedures.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Ability to supervise employees.
- Ability to present clear an comprehensive oral and written reports.
- Ability to organize and maintain a caseload as necessary.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
