Athletic Director (AD) administers the College's National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) intercollegiate athletics program and establishes policies and procedures to develop quality, competitive athletic teams and support the individual educational goals of each student-athlete. Ensures compliance with NJCAA rules, Title IX regulations, and other applicable policies. Leads and supports fundraising, supervises head coaches and support personnel, coordinates the calendar, schedules and manages the facilities, develops and manages the operating budgets, and builds and supports relationships with high school sporting teams and community members. The athletic department is comprised of Men’s and Women's Basketball, Men's and Women's Track and Field, and Men's Baseball, and the auxiliary activities of the Cheer and Dance teams.Promotion - Provides Athletic events in conjunction with the PR office through webpage, social media outlets, brochures, news releases, interviews, and fundraising events. Provides support and informs the public of local and away games scores and coordinates scores and statistics reporting. Promotes a positive image of the intercollegiate athletics program and the College by establishing and enforcing standards of personal behavior, conduct, and appearance for the coaching staff, support staff, and athletes on and off campus.Administration - Administers all applicable procedures to ensure student-athlete eligibility. Ensures athletic programs comply with NJCAA rules, Title IX regulations, and applicable College policies. Develops Athletic Department goals and objectives, establishes policies and procedures, and works closely with campus staff and faculty to support athletics-related issues pertaining to admissions, financial aid, business office, housing, public relations, academics, tutoring, and others as needed. Coordinates athletic calendar, schedules and manages athletic facilities, and ensures coordination with the College activity calendar. Attends and coordinates staffing for all home sporting events and sports-related events. Provides support and informs the public of away games scores and coordinates scores and statistics reporting. Establishes criteria for departmental awards.Budget and Fundraising - Manages the Athletic Department budget, approves purchases, and makes budget recommendations. Establishes Athletic Department fundraising goals by actively participating in fundraising events.Supervision - Supervises the Athletic Department part-time and full-time coaching staff and support staff, student workers, and work-study. Provides leadership to staff in matters pertaining to discipline, sportsmanship, and public relations.

Valid driver’s license is required. Day, evening, and weekend travel, inside and outside of the state. Must be able to move up to 25 lbs.
