What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Analyst III #25-014 position at State of South Carolina?
Under general supervision of the Director for Project Management Office (PMO), recommends development of tools/solutions to develop/enhance systems and applications. Analyzes business user needs to assess technical feasibility and solutions. Translates business requirements into functional specifications and manages changes. May lead the systems life cycle to include designing, testing, implementing, maintaining and supporting IT and Non-IT projects, quality assurance, etc. Leads the coordination of system modifications and development with internal and external developers and staff. Works closely with the TIB, PMO team, ITS and other Business owners to conduct analysis, design implementation and documentation of technology solutions, processes and industry standard best practices. Assist in determining, designing and writing PMO forms, tools, templates and policies.
A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related area and experience in computer system development and modification. Relevant experience may be substituted for the Bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.
A Master Degree in Project Management and/or PMI certificates like PMP or PMI-PBA (Professional Business Analyst) and five (5) years of Business Analyst or Project Management experience. Analyze and document business user needs for both IT and non-IT projects. Good communication and organizational skills.
