What are the responsibilities and job description for the Community Engagement Social Worker position at State of South Carolina?
Under the direct supervision of the Community Engagement Director, the Social Worker would ensure the coordination of community health assessments and development is introduced and service through the Midlands Public Health Region.
A bachelor's degree in social work from a program accredited by a nationally recognized accrediting body for social work programs, or from a social work program whose standards are at least equivalent to the minimum standards required by the nationally recognized accrediting body approved by the Board.
Institutions of Higher Learning must be recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.

Agency Additional Requirements:
A Master's degree in social work from a school of social work accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. Licensed by the State of South Carolina Board of Social Work Examiners as an LMSW (Licensed Master Social Worker) or a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW). Have prior or extensive knowledge of social worker principles, practices, and techniques to develop and assist the needs of individuals and families, family systems theory, family-centered care, group work, community organization, and cultural competence.
The ability to apply knowledge to development and implement assessments and intervention plans; work with an interdisciplinary teams to relate to others in a culturally competent manner.
Have basic computer skills and be able to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
Driving Record: If this position requires the applicant to possess a valid driver’s license to operate a state vehicle or personal vehicle, any applicant being considered in the final stages of selection for the position will be required to provide a certified copy of a 10-year driving record.
