Job duties:
- The CSS Applications Specialist is responsible for reviewing and determining action to take on incoming child support referral from county Department of Social Services offices, Clerks of Court and general public. Use considerable judgment in determining proper action required, accuracy and conformity with federal regulations, so that each case is brought to proper conclusion.
- Research and process automated and/or paper referrals on the PACSS database to include Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF), Non-TANF, Medical Assistance Only (MAO) and Foster Care.
- Call Custodial Parents/Non-Custodial Parents for additional information to complete application they submitted. Mail back all applications that are missing the appropriate signature. Record case activity statistics.
- Provide assistance in Pilot, Special Projects, and other related duties.
- Performs Red Cross shelter duty or other emergency shelter duty/services as directed.
