- THIS POSITION IS REPOSTED - Previous applicants are still under consideration and do not need to reapply* The person in this position will coach teachers toward meeting the mastery level on program teaching standards. Coordinate, implement and facilitate a training and professional development plan with the Teaching & Learning Support Team to implement a comprehensive professional development and training plan for the program’s Certified Teaching staff. Review program data with the Teaching & Learning Team members to identify target areas for needed professional development, coaching, and support. Develop, maintain, and implement a process for certificate renewal for the program’s Certified Teaching staff. Maintain appropriate records of certified teaching staff’s renewal needs and communicate renewal needs to the Teaching & Learning Team Leader regularly along with other appropriate Teaching & Learning staff members to ensure a team approach to certificate renewal. Work collaboratively with teachers to ensure successful and timely certificate renewal for Certified Staff. Facilitate the process for documentation submission for certificate renewal. Work in collaboration with the Teaching & Learning Support Team to assist with the program onboarding process by providing initial teacher coaching and mentorship for new teachers with the VirtualSC Teaching & Learning Team. Work collaboratively to ensure the effectiveness of program curriculum and instruction. Partner with the Teaching & Learning Team Leader and other Teaching & Learning Support Staff members to cultivate a collaborative working environment that encourages communication, innovation, and refinement of the best instructional practices. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Teaching & Learning Team Leader. This position is located in the Office of Virtual Education.
